What this is
e2i — short for the Employment and Employability Institute — is NTUC's career-services arm. It runs free job matching, career coaching, and training subsidies for anyone looking for work in Singapore. If you've been retrenched, your contract ended, or you're trying to switch industries, e2i is the fastest place to talk to a human who can put real job leads in front of you.
Five centres cover the island. Some are open Saturdays. Walk-ins are accepted at most locations, but booking ahead means a career coach will be ready for you.
Who should walk in
Drop by e2i if any of these describes you:
- You were retrenched or your contract just ended.
- You've been unemployed for a while and need help getting back in.
- You're mid-career and want to switch industries but don't know where to start.
- You're working but earning very little and want to upskill into something better-paying.
- You need help writing a resume or preparing for interviews.
What to bring
- Your IC (NRIC).
- A resume if you have one — they can help build one if you don't.
- Your retrenchment letter if applicable.
- Some idea of what you'd like to do next, but it's fine if you're not sure.
