About
Match help to need.
cancheck helps Singapore residents find government schemes, VWO programmes, and community grants they qualify for, in language they actually understand.
The goal is simple: make sure no one misses help they're entitled to.
Why “cancheck”?
The name comes from the most natural Singaporean question: “can check or not?” It passes the void deck test: you can say it to your neighbour and they understand instantly.
In the wordmark, can is orange — the colour of action — and check is teal — the colour of trust. Always one word. Always lowercase.

How we do it
Six things we stick to.
Plain language, always
Every word passes the void deck test: can someone explain it out loud in 5 seconds? If not, we rewrite it. Government jargon gets turned into plain English. Acronyms get spelled out.
Privacy by design
Your answers never leave your browser. Income, housing, citizenship stay on your device. We track how the tool is used (which buttons get tapped) to improve it, but never who uses it. No accounts. No cookies.
Route to humans, not forms
Every cancheck result ends with a gateway: a person to call, an office to visit, what to bring. No application portal. Just someone who can actually help.
Dignity in every word
You're a person dealing with a situation, not a case number. cancheck speaks plainly, without pity, without judgment.
For all of Singapore
cancheck covers schemes for all residents: Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian, and others. It also has a dedicated pathway for migrant workers.
Free, forever
cancheck will always be free for residents. The point is to close the gap between people and the help they're entitled to.
Who cancheck is for
Singapore residents
Anyone dealing with a difficult situation — not enough money, medical bills, job loss, kids' schooling, elderly care, and more. Citizens, PRs, and some pathways for others.
Social workers and SSO staff
Share cancheck.co with clients for a quick first answer. Use it as a reference before appointments. It covers schemes that may not be front-of-mind.
VWOs and community organisations
Give frontline staff a tool that speaks their clients' language. cancheck routes to the right human gateway — often your office.
Funders and government partners
cancheck works alongside existing services. It routes to SSOs, FSCs, AIC, and other government gateways. We are open to partnerships.
